چکیده
Interactions between symmetric two metallic spheres and an electromagnetic (EM) field polarized in the axis are described. Spherical symmetries of present systems exploited by use bi-spherical coordinates. Boundary conditions applied, which assume a very large negative value for dielectric constant special metals. The EM small gaps (in hotspots) is amplified many orders magnitude relative to external field. Analytical results maximal enhancement factor surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy nano-shells obtained as function various parameters. calculations based on potentials derived using electrostatic model, valid particles.

متن کاملMolecular Diagnosis of Plasma Phenylalanine in Neonates with Phenylketonuria Disease Using Biological Sensors Based on Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)
In this study, silver nanoparticles were chemically synthesized and deposited on glass substrates using a reducing agent of sucrose, at 50°C. Different characterizations including atomic force microscopy (AFM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and Raman spectroscopy were obtained to study silvery substrates. Then, the silvery substrates were used as the SERS substrates to de...

Metallic nanorods synthesized by oblique angle deposition on glass substrate are utilized as nano-scale structures that can be coated with SERS active metal to allow for excitation of surface plasmons. The synthesized nanorods have an average length of ~500-600 nm and are randomly distributed on the substrate. The SERS studies with Near-IR excitation at 785 nm show significant enhancement with ...
متن کاملPolarized surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy on coupled metallic nanowires.
Regular-shaped metal nanocrystals and their ensembles can serve as ideal substrates for studying surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). We synthesized well-defined silver nanowires for a systematic study of SERS signal with respect to polarization and structural ordering. The observed dependence on polarization direction confirms prior theoretical predictions that large electromagnetic (EM) ...
